ইট” এর প্রকারভেদ ও চিনার উপায় ঃ
১) ১ম শ্রেণীর ইট;
২) ২য় শ্রেনীর ইট;
৩) ৩য় শ্রেনীর ইট;
৪) ঝামা ইট;
৫) পিকেড ইট;
১ম শ্রেণীর ইট চিনার উপায়:
1. এই ইটের সাইজ এবং রং সমরূপ থাকে।
2.সর্বএ সমান ভাবে পোড়ানো থাকে।
3. ইট দ্বারা পরস্পর আঘাত করলে পরিষ্কার ঠন ঠন শব্দ হবে এবং কোন চির বা ফাঁক থাকে না।
4. পাচ ফুটের উপর থেকে আরেকটির উপর ফেলে দিলে সহজে ভাঙ্গে না।
5. পানিতে ডোবালে শোষণ ক্ষমতা ১৫% বেশী হবে না।
২য় শ্রেণীর ইট:
এই ইট ১ম শ্রেণীর মতই রং এবং শক্ত কিন্তু সাইজ এবং সেপ কিছুটা অসমান এবং ইটের তলা অমসৃন থাকে। এই ইট কিছুটা কম পোড়ানো হয়ে থাকে। এর শব্দ তীক্ষ্ণ নয় এবং ইটের গায়ে ফাটল থাকে। এর পানির শোষণ ক্ষমতা ২০% এর চেয়ে বেশী থাকে।
৩য় শ্রেণীর ইট:
এই ধরনের ইট পর্যাপ্ত পোড়ানো থাকে না এবং গুনাগুন নিম্নমানের। ইহা সহজেই ভেঙ্গে যায়। এর ঠন ঠন শব্দ হয় না। এই প্রকার ইটের পানির শোষণ ক্ষমতা ২৫% এর চেয়ে বেশী থাকে।
ঝামা ইটঃ
অতিরিক্ত চাপে পোড়ানো ইট সাধারনত কালো ও ফাঁপা হয়ে থাকে! এই সকল ইটকে ঝামা ইট বলা হয়।
পিকেড ইটঃ
ইহা সাধারনত বেশী তাপমাএায় পোড়ানো ইট যাহা ১ম শ্রেণীর ঝামা ইটের মধ্যর্বতী পর্যায়ে থাকে এই ধরনের ইটকে পিকেড ইট বলা হয়।
পিকেড ইট চিনার উপায়:
১ম শ্রেণীর ইটের চেয়ে অধিকমাত্রা পোড়ানো ইট।
১ম শ্রেণীর চেয়ে শক্ত ইট।
এর শব্দ খুব তীক্ষ্ণ।
উপর থেকে ফেললে ভাঙ্গে না।
ধারাগুলো আঁকাবাঁকা ও পিঠ গুলো অসমতল।
